New monitor checks
Got my two new Dell 2209WA screens arrived yesterday, they certainly look great.
I normally use Dead Pixel Buddy to check for deal/lit/unlit pixels by visual inspection.
Is there anything else I should use to test for pixel defects? I want to make sure I have a perfect screen.
What tests does everyone else run when they get a new sceeen?
thanks

Re: New monitor checks
I just use a white background, and personally check for dead pixels. If I cannot see any then its a perfect screen in my opinion. I hope this helps.

TBH though, a good visual test is all that is needed IMHO, no point in the gadgets that do it for £200 odd...

Re: New monitor checks
I used dead pixel tester when i got my new monitor. its bascially the same as the program you used, i don't think there's much more you can do tbh. if you really want a perfect screen then just scour every inch carefully, i missed a few on my first pass. thought i'd only had a few but the more i looked the more i found. got a replacement monitor thankfully that was ok. but dust can look like a defective pixel btw.....
