What GPU?
Well im looking to cut down on power usage and keep to a similar performance as my current card the 9800GTX, anyone know some within the price bracket of £100?. My friend said he would buy my gtx for ~£100 so thats my budget :P, i think the gtx250(or is it gts?) was £90 for the 512mb and since i only play at max 1680x1050 i dont see a reason to not consider it. Does it perform as good as the 9800? And is it wise to upgrade now, as normally there are gpu's releasing near june right?.
THanks guys :).

Re: What GPU?
The GTS 250 virtually is the 9800 GTX, doesn't seem worth the hassle to me. Link here.

Re: What GPU?
To be honest you going to see such a small decrease in power it wouldn't be worth the hassle.

Re: What GPU?
Ah fair point, i remember seeing a review and swear it was atleast 30W difference :P. So i guess waiting for the new 5850/10800's is the best plan ?.

Re: What GPU?
At your resolution the GTS 250 is ideal. The GTS 250 and the 9800gtx+ are infact the same. The core and memory clocks are the same, the process is the same, the memory is the same type. Only difference: shorter PCB, different cooling solution and a little less power draw. But for less that 100 quid its a steal. I got my 9800gtx about a year ago at £220 and it remains a brilliant card.
