It is meant to be priced at the $100 mark so it should be around £80 once prices have settled down.
I would only upgrade from the 8800GT if the 20% performance increase and lower power consumption is worth it to you.
Also it looks to be a decent overclocker too like the HD4830! :)
Re: First official review of the HD4770!!
nah I think the 8800gt is adequate for my needs for the next few months, looks like my next upgrade will be a dx11 card.
The only game I have to turn settings down on is Crysis and I'm not too fussed on it as a game anyway, it's more a glorified bench marking tech demo.

Crysis Warhead actually runs better IMHO. TBH I would be looking at a 100% performance increase between upgrades ideally!
Re: First official review of the HD4770!!
There seems to have been a stagnation in the demands games are putting on graphics cards in the past two years since Crysis came out, no bad thing. The driving factor for more powerful gfx cards seems to be bigger displays with higher resolutions rather than the actual games themselves.
Re: First official review of the HD4770!!
Wow now that is VERY good... i think this will replace my 9800GTX at that price since it runs like 50W less and performs almost the same!.
Re: First official review of the HD4770!!
So, it should be around £75 if we are lucky. But that cooler is ugly. :p
Meh, would be a good upgrade if you already dont have a current gen graphics card.
Whens the next gen (ATi 58xx and nVidia 3xx) getting released?

I doubt you will save the price difference of upgrading in energy cost...

Yeah pretty scummy to profiteer off your mates, especially when he can buy a better brand new card for less than the price your selling it for.
I got my 8800gt off a guy on my course for 50 quid.
Re: First official review of the HD4770!!
Not when he offered the price!! :P And this card is a step down but not much :).
Re: First official review of the HD4770!!
Your still taking advantage of a mate, it's scummy!
Re: First official review of the HD4770!!
Who said i was charging that much? :P. I was gunna sell it at market value when i upgrade :).
