I am fitting a new Zotac GeForce GTX275 Amp! Edition & needing to reposition the supplied s/pdif cable I pulled it out of the card's connector block but rather than detaching it instead took the card's white plastic block away with it, exposing two pins connected to the card's circuit board. I think I can reposition the block carefully back over the pins but I had not noted which way it was on. No clues on the circuit board as to which pin is which and of course nothing in the manuals. Can anyone with a 275 kindly advise which way around this goes back?
Is it;
a) with the connector block's cutout slot (to take the ridge in the cable's connector) "uppermost" (i.e. next to the circuit board side of the card so that the white spdif wire (SPDIF OUT) when fitted is then nearest the two auxillary power connectors alongside it) ,
or (more likely given pin offset and block's dimensions ?)
b) the other way up, with slot/ridge "downward" facing towards fan side, then making the black (GROUND) wire/pin nearest the power connectors?
There are dire warnings in the manual about getting these wires correctly located so grateful for any advice from existing GTS / GTX 275 owners who can help. This is my first build and with no graphics on mobo I'm at a halt now with it until I can resolve this.
TIA
