Which monitor is good for under £150?

Was looking @ getting this 1 LG W2252TQ for £147.49.

    This?
1920x1080, 16:9 is better for watching stuff
    20000:1, better.
Also has built in speakers, if you need it.

I have the DVI connector version of this little Samsung beastie. Lots of pixels though, you need a bit of GPU grunt to drive it.

    I have this currently.

Panel is quite poor, even for a TN

If you're used to mid range / high end screens, avoid this one.

    But for 150 quid?

I paid a little more to get the DVI input which might be important for blu-ray etc.

Panel is 4 pixels to every native 576p DVD pixel, so watching movies is good. For games, I get loads of pixels on screen which I love.

Someone at work even photo edits on one (after calibration) and he is very happy with it. I am not talking holiday snaps here either, he is very competative with his photography.

Re: 22" monitor for under £150

Karl, check out the BenQ E2200HD. It comes equipped with 1920x1080 (1080p),
Full HD with HDMI, DVI, and D-sub connectivity.
2 built-in speakers (always a plus, but don't look forward to them as they are 2 watt I believe),
    1000:1 (10,000:1 DCR) contrast ratio
2ms response time with AMA BenQ graphics accelerator technology.
And best for all it all goes for under £150!!

    Hope that helps
    Intel Core 2 Duo 2.0GHz, 2 GB DDR2, 500GB SATA-II 7200RPM, nVidia GeForce 9800GT 512mb, BenQ E2200 HD, BenQ G2412HD, Logitech S510 Wireless set, Creative GigaWorks T3 Speakers.
