I am looking for an nVidia 9600 or 9800 card that will fit in my case without my having to relocate the fan cooled HDDs that sit opposite the PCI-e slot.
No dimensions are ever given on e-tailer's sites regarding the length of cards. :rolleyes:
How long are standard 9600/9800 from the following manufacturers:
Asus
Gainward
Palit
Xotac
PNY
and which 9600/9800 nVidia card is the shortest of all?

I prefer nVidia myself and if I was to go ATI it'd be a 4850 and above, I reckon....
There are also some extremely short HD4830 cards too. I have seen HD4830 cards which are only slightly longer than a standard HD4670.Quote:
