GTX 260 Not Running @ Right Res?
I picked up an ASUS GTX 260 from scan on saturday and installed it today, but first off it wouldnt let me choose my native resolution (1440*900) and now i cant select my native resolution in games either. I created a 'custom' resolution in the nVidia control panel as thats the only way i could get 1440*900 but im not being offered itin Crysis or Far Cry 2.
Any suggestions?

Yah, the latest ones off nVidias site. How do i go about un-installing drivers? I may uninstall them and re-install and see if that fixes it and maybe a registry clean too.
Re: GTX 260 Not Running @ Right Res?
Install driver sweeper, uninstall the drivers as normal, boot into safe mode and run driver sweeper which should delete any more traces, boot back into windows and install the newest set as per normal.

Your computer isn't picking up your monitor correctly - this is usually a graphics driver thing, though sometimes monitors come with drivers or profiles which remind Windows. Try restarting Windows a few times with your monitor turned on, or look for a monitor detection button in the nVidia control panel (ATI's CCC has a section for this, I can't remember what nVidia do).
Re: GTX 260 Not Running @ Right Res?
All i can think is that the drivers from my ATi card are affecting my nVidia drivers becuase i didnt un-install the CCC before installing the new card. Is this driver thing safe to use as there isnt an option to un-install the nvidia drivers - unless i use windows roll back which i dont really want to do :)
Re: GTX 260 Not Running @ Right Res?
Still no luck. Re-installed drviers, did driver seep etc. The only plausable reason i think it isnt let me use my native resolution by defualt is that im using the DVI>VGA adaptor and i thinks im using a legacy 4:3 monitor - as it shows a CRT looking monitor in the Nvidia display panel with 'Analog' written on it.
Re: GTX 260 Not Running @ Right Res?
can u use a Screen driver?
Or IIRC u can set a profile with some of the GFX utilities.
