    Re: Dell U2410 IPS monitor

The H-IPS LP2475W can be had for under £400 so the U2410 looks overpriced TBH unless it is massively better.

    Re: Dell U2410 IPS monitor

Yes i checked HP 2475 IPS is approx £390

    link for dell monitor
    http://www.dell.com/us/en/dfo/periph...ll-u2410&s=dfo

I guess has every input you could require, Uses the same LG panel as the HP 2475 but has 12 bit processing rather than HP's 8bit.

50% extra is alot though, i could get a 2209WA and the HP for the same price

I hope TFT central reviews it though as they would probably compare it to the LP2475W and 2408WFP.

You can get the HP for well under £400 directly from HP either using the discount codes HPSPLDIS or HPSHARE and the cashback website Quidco which does 4% cashback on the purchase price.

The Dell U2410 costs nearly £200 more and the Dell 2408WFP is the equivalent Dell monitor and is inferior IMHO.

    Re: Dell U2410 IPS monitor

the Dell 2408wfp is a very different monitor as its a samsung pva screen, he new dell uses the same LG screen as the HP model but has more advanced video processing capabilities. 8bit vs 12bit. And looks way better

If 579 was the first price i got from dell im sure it will be arround the £500 mark shortly, and will full connection options aka HDMI/DVI/display port/component its tempting.

    Re: Dell U2410 IPS monitor

I will have to wait for a review of the U2410 before making any judgement TBH and remember that a HP LP2475W and a calibration tool like a Spyder 3 will still cost less overall and will be a better setup for a photographer or graphic artist for the price. Also I prefer the more industrial look of the HP monitors to those of the Dells. Of course the Apple Studio displays beat both Dell and HP for build and prettiness though.

    Are those codes still valid?

They aren't advertised on the HP or Quidco pages any more.

Someone I know used one of them last week to buy an HP LP2475W and you can always check the codes on the HP website as the discount will be applied in the basket.

    True.

I missed out of the 8% Quidco a few weeks ago. Shame it's down to 4% now.

Quidco changes HP cashback rates regularly.....4% - 8% - 4% etc. There is always Topcashback as well - between the 2 of them, you can usually find a 8% rate

Wondering how would this compare to a 27-incher...
IMO its a bad time to buy LCD now with the pounds still way below sea level and the panel price going up.
