    Which 260gtx?

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Hi Guys,
I think I've decided on getting an nvidia 260 gtx for my next graphics card. I think it is the sensible choice as I plan to get a 24" monitor in the coming months. The question is which one to get. I'm not after any fancy overclocked one or anything, I would prefer the cheapest but want a reliable brand with decent warranty.

Currently it is a toss up between:
    Gainward 260gtx for £114.99
    http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/896MB...-DL-DVI-I-HDTV

    OR

    Asus 260gtx for £119.98
    http://www.ebuyer.com/product/150276

At the moment I'm leaning towards the gainward as it is cheaper and looks to have a better stock cooler on it.

    Any advice is appreciated!

Oh and also a 260gtx will fit in a Lian Li A05 correct?

    Re: Which 260gtx?

I would go for the Gainwood as well personally. Better cooler, half decent stock overclock...

Thanks for the reply. You don't happen to know if it will fit in the Lian Li A05 case?

Any other opinions? If not, think I will go with the Gainward.

    Re: Which 260gtx?

Ive never had any experience with you case so i dont really know, but the GTX 260 is a solid performer and Gainward is a decent brand - just make sure you have a PSU which can power the GTX 260!

for all intents it seems to be the same card minus some gays name on it and a shielded cover ? with OEM added to it - GoNz0.

Assuming your system specs are up to date, that should be plently.

You will need 2x6 PCI-e connectors as well so if you haven't got them already check to see if they come with your choice of card, if not there about £2 off Scan.

Thanks for the tip, I've just checked my psu and it does indeed have 2 6 pin connectors. Cheers!
