Can someone please confirm if the HP LP2475w monitor uses a H-IPS or an S-IPS, because a lot of people say that the newer ones use H-IPS panels but the HP spec sheet says that they use an S-IPS.
Thanks

I did here the new one is S-IPS, but probably same post you saw it at, i do know the new Dell has the neext revision of the original HP panel, so perhaps its just using the same one as the new Dell.
This point is debated here, keep an eye on it and hopefully we will get an update:)
I'd also like to know the answer to this.
Why, oh why, couldn't they have used a new model number.. ~~
I uses the newer IPS type. The problem with both this monitor and the Dell U2410 (which uses a newer revision of the same panel) is that a large percentage of them are prone to a green tint on the left and a pink tint on the right, which is visible on a white background. Unfortuantely, if you ever have to swap your monitor out under warranty, you tend to get one of these monitors as the replacement. It's a flaw in LG's quality control (LG are the company who supply the panels). If you can avoid getting one with the green and pink tint they're pretty good monitors.
