Re: Graphics Card Question
Graphics cards can withstand pretty high temperatures.
What temp is your card currently at under full load?
Re: Graphics Card Question
90C is safe, 110 is not :)
Re: Graphics Card Question
With Farcry2 on EVERYTHING Very high, it reaches max of 75C,
idk how to put it under "full load" so that I can check the temp
=/
Re: Graphics Card Question
Download and use the "ati tool" or FurMark both can be downloaded and really stress test your graphics card.
They hit temps that you don't normally get up too in games
And download GPUZ while your at it, I've found this not only tells you the details of your card but also has a very good temp & fan monitor built in
Re: Graphics Card Question
i can't imagine the load being more "full" than far cry 2 on very high. if that's the most taxing thing you can throw at your graphics cards then it's probably the most taxing thing it'll ever need to survive. most synthetic benchmarks try to emulate real game performance anyway so right now you've got the best benchmark out there. and your card is doing a mighty fine job so far :)

Well, that is a pretty good indication that the temps are fine. You really don't want to be getting much higher than that, or you will be considerably shortening the life of your card, and increase the risk of problems developing (probably, I think).
The fan noise is something you'll have to live with I guess.
Re: Graphics Card Question
depends on the card, they have certain thresholds like chips methinks, id say 90 is alrite but once you start gettin towards 100 u should start worrying. this is underload btw
Re: Graphics Card Question
I have two cards CrossFire and sometimes I have to have the windows open because think about it... mine is running at 130C because I have two card it's double the temperature and it can be a little hot. I cannot wait for the 5000 Series ATI have done a good job with the cooler.
