Powercolor HD4670 glitches
I've got a Powercolor HD4670 (PCS I think) which is glitching with current ATI/AMD Windows XP drivers. Driver version 9.5 works fine, anything after that, including 9.8, I get glitches, which are usually either a corrupted stripe across a particular texture, font rendering weirdness or triangles that cover the screen when certain objects are in view. It's looks as if a single ram chip has gone bad, and the errors depend on which object hits the location in question, but it's weird that it only happens with recent driver releases.
Needless to say this is annoying :(
The card has never been overclocked. (Well, not for any length of time: I think I ran the ATI Overdrive tests once, but it's never been overclocked otherwise.)
Should I be returning the card to the vendor? Contacting Powercolor? Contacting AMD to report a bug?
Any suggestions appreciated.
Re: Powercolor HD4670 glitches
I'd remove, clean and reinstall the drivers first, tbh. If it works perfectly with earlier drivers then it's far more likely to be a software issue / conflict than a hardware problem. If a clean install of the latest drivers still has the issues report it first to AMD as a driver bug / glitch. If you get no joy from them go to Powercolor, and see what they say (remember Powercolor have a lot more clout with AMD than you as an individual customer do). Alternatively, just use the old driver for now and see if it's sorted in the next driver release...

Worth a try!

Humph. No amount of driver cleaning & fresh installing of drivers clears up the problem.
Anyone know where I'm supposed to report problems to AMD with any hope of a response?
