These ones are crap and will only let me have 1280 x 720 without it streching out the screen! and when i resize the desktop it just puts it at the max resolution which is too small to see and would give me a headache.

Go into Device Manager, right click on your graphics card and click "Properties". In there, go to the "Driver" tab and click "roll back drivers".
This will revert your drivers back to the previously installed drivers, which is what I assume you want to do?
If that doesn't work then make sure you have the previous driver installer available, then uninstall the current drivers from "Add/Remove programs", then install the old ones.
I had to do this a little while back, I upgraded my work XP PC to the latest Quadro drivers, then discovered they had removed the ability to do a horizontal span for a multi monitor setup. Not happy.
Even worse, I am now on windows 7 which means I have to use the latest drivers and can't do horizontal span ever again :( Its almost enough to make me go back to XP!
Cheers the first one worked! surely newer drivers would include what the last one had?
Features come and go because bugs are often discovered in that feature. So if they can't fix it for the next release, they disable the feature.
Been hapening quite a lot recently in some of the ATI driver settings. I think they have sorted most of them in 9.7 though.
