there are no cheap 1600x1200, never was
Viewsonic made a very good one 20.1" but again not exactly cheap

Have you considered a 1080p monitor? Well it really depends on what you're going to be using the monitor for? Doesn't sound like it's gaming or leisure? Do tell.
