Or possibly Atari.
US website so it really doesn't matter too much.
Once it comes out in the UK then it'll be worthy news

I notice it is not in stock either, looks like it is priced at full list. Looks like to hook to get suckers to pre-order, no real information about availability. I would only pre-order at release if there is a discount!
Agreed. I want to know what it will do the 4890 pricing.
Then I can make a decision on how to upgrade.

The three brands that have appeared on various sites are HIS, Sapphire and Gigabyte. Hoping there will be enough companies involved for some competative pricing
I got a powercolor HD4890 from scan for £119 (today only) currently they are listing for £126 (out of stock), most others are in the higher 1xx range. I don't think the HD4890 will drop sub £100 just yet, as this would squeeze the HD4770 to much. I think however the price point that the powercolor is in £100-140 is where its going to land.
Not very much I think. AMD are leading with their high end cards for a reason. The reason being that they want to lead with products that don't have a performance overlap with their current lineup so as to avoid cannibalising their own sales. Just like intel did with i7, now i5 and later on i3.
It will effect the 4890 price as quiet a few e-tailers/suppliers will sell off stock at reduced prices to shift it esp when a new faster card is coming out.
If the the 4890 goes EOL and is no longer produced then retailers/suppliers don't want to be stuck with a big load of cards that have been replaced by the manufactor by a newer better card.

£345... given the already unfavourable $:£, we're getting ripped off big time. The benchmarks appearing aren't amazingly impressive, I'm not going to pay this much for one of the new cards.
I'd really like to see them get in line with the US prices:

With a pessimistic exchange rate and VAT added on, that still works out at £275
I'm looking at buying a 5850 anyway and those have yet to turn up in stock.

£299 - £309.
Looks like we won't be getting any lower than £299 any time soon. Disappointing lack of competitiveness from our retailers.

Ouch. Can't say I'm surprised though. I want to see how much the 2GB six eyefinity card is - a lot I expect. I can't justify more than 300 quid; it's an obscene amount of money as it is.
Still, it's always this way. Prices will hopefully be less crippling in a few weeks.

I guess I was hoping for a £270 kinda price on launch with a £50 reduction in a few months. I'm not going to be buying at £299 and certainly not at £340 or £370. Might stretch to £250 if it came with a quieter cooler come Jan though.
