    Looks like a mini-HD5850:

It maybe released on the 13th of October:

Looks pretty sweet, cooling solution definitely looks better than the one on the leaked 5750.
I hope they don't price it too high with it's 128-bit memory interface.
If it's released in 13th, shouldn't be too long until the first benchmarks appear, I'm interested in how it compares to the 5850, 4870 and 4890.

I can't wait to see how this card (and especially the 5750) compare to the current 4000 series.

    Re: HD5770 first preview!!

I just got myself an Asus Radeon 5850 from RL Supplies.

Are they any good or should I have waited and gone for the Radeon 5770?

I'd imagine that the 5850 would be better than the 5770, so stick with what you've got!

    Corsair Air 540, Asus Prime X570-Pro, Win 10 Pro, AMD R9 3900X, Corsair HX 750, EVGA 1080 Ti, 2x Corsair 2TB MP600, 2x 2TB WD20EZRX, 4x8GB Corsair Dominator, custom watercooled (single loop, 2 rads)
    Corsair 550D, Asus X470-Prime Pro, Win 10 Pro, AMD R7 2700, Corsair RM750i, Asus GTX780 Poseidon, 2x Sammy 500GB 970 EVO, 2x 2TB Seagate Barracuda, 2x8GB Corsair Vengeance, custom watercooled (single loop, 2 rads)
    Synology DS918+ w/ 2xWDC Green 3TB + 2x Seagate Barracuda 6TB, N2200 w/ 2xSammy 1.5TB
    backup:
    Corsair 500R, Gigabyte GA-Z97MX Gaming 5, Win 10 Pro, i5 4690, Corsair HX750i, Sapphire Fury X, 256GB Sammy SM951 M.2 (System), WD SE16 640GB, 2x8GB Corsair Vengeance, Corsair H100i

Thanks for that. I thought that would be the case based on price alone!

I am deciding whether to get a 2nd one and run them in Crossfire, but different people I speak to have different opinions on whether its worth bothering. How does having 2 x 5850 cards affect the graphics performance (ie. is it worth blowing the weekends beer & food budget to eek out more performance!)

Personally, I wouldn't bother with dual cards. Try the 5850 by itself and see if you're happy with the performance. For sure you'd get better performance with 2 in certain games, but is it really worth it?

Let us know what the rest of your system is and I'm sure we can help. Maybe it would be more effective to blow your dosh on some other component of your system, and there are plenty of guys around here with their fingers on the pulse!

For gods sakes, keep the beer budget. Blow the food one if you really have too!

With current drivers I don't think Crossfire is worth it, the scaling in performance is not worth the price.

But if newer drivers improve multi GPU performance it might be worth it later on.

    Some more details including benchmarks:

    http://www.techpowerup.com/105570/AS...nchmarked.html

The HD5770 is shorter than the HD5850 and HD5870.
