24' Monitor for full 1080p movies
Hi, Hexus, long time reader, first time poster!
Some background;
I have a Dell:embarrassed: XPS 700 system that I bought ~3/4 years ago, I have since upgraded some components and the current specs stand as follows:
Intel Core 2 Duo E6700 - not OC'ed
OCZ 2x 1GB PC2-6400 (400MHz)
EVGA 640MB 8800 GTS Superclocked
Dell 1907FP & E172FP (2560x1024 dualview setup)
Razer Barracuda sound card / Sennheiser HD-555
I play games like Crysis, GTA IV, SC Forged Alliance, TDU etc on the 1907FP with foobar2000/Skype on the other OR watch movies/TV on the E172FP while browsing the internet on the other. (My primary monitor being the 1907FP)
I am a big movie fan and would like to upgrade to watch 1080p movies with a decent quality monitor.
I'm looking to buy a 24-inch in the range of £300 (£250 preferred, ~£350 Max.)with a 1920x1080 or higher resolution (but would prefer quality over a higher number of pixels)for watching Blu-ray/HD-DVD movies (will replace E172FP and will not be used for gaming). I would prefer to buy from scan.co.uk or similar. I understand from others' posts that such a monitor for this price range may be tight, but I'm really just looking for the best possible monitor for that price.
A couple of the monitors I have been looking at:
Acer V243HBD
Dell S2409W
(wondering if I would really notice a £100-200 difference in quality over these)
Any and all help appreciated,
Stephen.

Good to hear, has anyone else had good experiences with this monitor or similar?
