Red face why ain't ATi concidering broader simple mp4 market

as a tech junkie i'd prefer win-mobile and symbian over apple os when it comes to mobile phones..sure the multitouch is nice, but hacking and signing is has fun written all over it...maybe it's just me

ATi could just make many people buy their gear, if they show what their gear can do...like the ati stream tech
only thing that make it not work on regular devices is the video codec the H264 aka AVC...why not take a notch down make standard mp4 codec

it'll make the video files work on a larger range of devices.

funny ATI is sucking up to Apple that doesn't even include their tech in Apple's line up,

make AVIVO in CCC with more options,

IMO so far avivo is a useless piece of ...it just for show...make it useful.

    whats you opinion

Note;-for the ones who have trouble understanding the above

ATI Avivo converter encored videos in mp4 format,true...yet it uses the the H264 codec (also known as AVC codec)
which is not recognized by lot media players and phones, so if only ATi could step down using AVC and use the simple mp4 video codec that is understood by lot of (if not all) PMP/phones ....it will be a major hit with mobile users and will encourage them to buy ati products, just my opinion

I'm not sure if you've used an online translator to create that post, but I'm struggling to understand the language.

Are you saying that ATI desktop cards should accelerate videos with the mp4 codec? In which case, they do already don't they?

    Thanks for re-writing the post.

They can code in h264/AVC, yes. But they can also code in MPEG-4/DivX, WMV, MPEG-1 and MPEG2.

All these codec names are confusing. From the ATI site

ATI Video Converter using ATI Stream technology converted an HD MPEG2 video at 1920x1080 resolution @ 24fps running 3600 seconds to an MPEG4 video at 320x240 resolution at 24 fps in 3 hours 23 minutes,
