    Question 9800xt 256mb

    i am looking to buy a new graphics card soon, and i am thinking of getting a 9800xt 256mb but i wondered which make is the best,
    Asus
    Creative
    Connect 3D
    Hercules
    Powercolor
    Sapphire

    Na not the ASUS one as the two 40mm fans don't provide the same cooling on the card as the larger stock one i think it's a 92 mm. This cooling defficency means that the overclocking factor of that crad is lower. I would say either the Sapphire or the Powercolour one's.

    thing is m8, if ur lookin to buy one "soon" then for £250-£300 (price of xt 256mb) u might want to hold on for next gen??? I mean look at those nv40 results and assume r420's these cards will govern.

    my 9800XT Sapphire has been a peach of a card and because its second hand value is quite good still I will probably go for a next gen as soon as they are out, so its a question of if you really can wait for next gen I would, some bargains sure to be had.

    the other thing is IMO the 9800 Pro 128 would be a better card to buy now and then get next gen when you have the money, the 9800 128 is just silly money for the performance....
