    Asus G51J3D - first 3D Vision notebook!

Methinks they should have plonked in a GTX280M (a rebadged and underclocked desktop 9800GTX) instead and ditched the 3D LCD.

I imagine the screen full of annoying finger smudges...

I suppose it's not too bad due to the low native resolution, but halving the framerate to get 3D would be death to most gaming laptops given their already weak nature!

The gtx260m is also the G92b gpu, just lower clocked
I really hadn't realised how far nvidia had gone with gpu renameing untill I looked at their mobile gpu's

I just bought an Asus laptop with a GTX260M, it's anything but weak.

The 280m has 128SPs and a 68MHz faster core clock. The 260M has 112SPs, they share the same 1GB DDR3 at up to 950MHz.

You have to remember we're talking 13X7 for the laptop res, the 260M has plenty of power for that.
