The Sapphire Vapour X/Toxic Vapour X (Clocked higher) is normally the pick of the litter, though you will pay extra for it. If you are going for a blue case with window the Sapphire on the card also lights up blue which is nice.

Just having a noisy around i might also be tempted by one of these http://www.ebuyer.com/product/167324 its clocked higher then the Sapphire.

From what im aware they are just a standard reference cooler design so not the best, they do perform fine though as long as the case is sufficently cooled as they can get quite noisy at higher RPMs.

i've been told else where to go fodr a 4870 over a 4890 as the price is alot lower, for a small performance drop. would you agree? or am i better of with a 4890? thanks

    Re: Which ATI HD 4890

Personal choice really, the cheapest 4890 i can see is £126 the cheapest 4870 is £92 from what i understand the 4870s do tend to run a little hotter and do benefit from a aftermarket cooler more then a 4890.

I'd get the XFX one. Double lifetime warranty = higher resale on Ebay when it's time to sell.

They're all good, just avoid the XFX ones if you're especially concerned with reliability - they should be okay, but they can be a bit close on the factory overclock sometimes!
