    Question crossfire 2 x 5850 on a P55 motherboard ?

Hi I know they would only run at 8 x speed but if I have my i5 CPU @3.8GHz would it stop and bottleneck and work out ok ?

AFAIK it should work totally fine without the CPU or the PCI-E slots bottlenecking.

The performance drop from full bandwidth is a couple of percent if that.

TechPowerUp have done some testing that backs up the number of PCIe lanes not being a bottleneck. I was quite surprised how well a 5870 performed on a single PCIe 2 lane.

    Re: crossfire 2 x 5850 on a P55 motherboard ?

It will make around 3FPS difference at most, which could be down to a number of things when comparing X58 and P55.
Kalniel: "Nice review Tarinder - would it be possible to get a picture of the case when the components are installed (with the side off obviously)?"
CAT-THE-FIFTH: "The Antec 300 is a case which has an understated and clean appearance which many people like. Not everyone is into e-peen looking computers which look like a cross between the imagination of a hyperactive 10 year old and a Frog."
TKPeters: "Off to AVForum better Deal - £20+Vat for Free Shipping @ Scan"
for all intents it seems to be the same card minus some gays name on it and a shielded cover ? with OEM added to it - GoNz0.
