If I'm using Catalysts 3.10, is it possible for me to use RadClocker to overclock the card? After reading about this on the internet, it mentioned that only 3.4 could be used for overclocking, but didn't mention whether RadLinker/RadClocker could be used to solve the problem.

Edit: Also, is it worth getting a new chipset cooler like a Vantec Iceberq? At the moment, I have passive cooling i.e. no fan, only heatsink.

You could always get Omega's drivers which have Radlinker built in.
Yeah get the 4.4 omega's - they've worked great for me.
I used them to test how far I could push my Radeon 9000 before I downloaded a custom clocked bios for it.
I believe the Omega drivers will be OK but the standard ATI catalysts monitor clock speeds and reset them back to default for some cards (generally the Pro and XT versions are left alone but the others are reset). There are a few ways to stop this from happening - I used Rivatuner and it's "Disable ATI Anti Overclocking" patch. Also... Do you have a good reason for using the 3.10's? 4.4's are out now
I'm using 3.10s with no problems, so I don't particularly want to much about with it (If it ain't broke, don't fix it!). Also, the 4.xs require service pack four for Windows 2000, and I really can't be bothered to get it.Quote:
