What driver for an old GeForce card
I have a system here with an older 6600GT card that's used for general PC stuff (no gaming). I've started downloading the latest 195.62 drivers but am wondering if it really is necessary. Is there a legacy driver or older version that would be best to use for an older GeForce 6 series card?
Re: What driver for an old GeForce card
I'm sure it'll be fine since you wont do much gaming. I know the newer drivers may have random crap running in the background so if you want to reduce that then an older driver could be worth it. couple of google searches show up the 182.08:

Re: What driver for an old GeForce card
Depending on your OS and such, I'd probably look at the last of the 8x.xx

The 84.56 was the last WHQL of the DX9 only drivers.
For vista probably the 97.19, WHQL, 32bit & 64bit, last dx9 driver, vista only
