As we pointed out several months ago, if the only reason they didn't want Physx in collaboration with ATI hardware is so that they don't have to do QA, it would be very easy to have a registry entry with "DisableInPresenceOfNonNvidiaDrivers=1", which any tech-person could then set to 0 and game away. It's clearly an unsupported hack, or whatever. Then they don't have to any QA, and they don't piss everyone off at the same time.

Oh, but wait! That would mean they wouldn't be able to make people buy their horrifically overpriced graphics cards just to experience physx. And that's the real reason.

So let me get this straight... you totally espouse all Nvidia marketing drivel and propaganda, and you constantly feel the need to set the world straight on any slight malignment of Nvidia's awesomeness, and yet you don't care whether I buy an Nvidia or an ATI card?

You're a very very weird person Rollo. I guess the thing I find most confusing about you is that you do not seem to understand just how poor you are at convincing people that Nvidia is great. Nvidia would be better off if you just didn't say anything at all. All you ever achieve is just turning members of this forum against you and then Nvidia by association. Nvidia really aren't getting much for their investment in you. If anything, I'd almost say you were working for ATI on the sly.

You implied I work for NVIDIA, I noted what I really do for a living.

And no, I don't care if you buy an ATi card, I buy them myself.

I personally prefer 3d Vision to anything else available by by far, but everyone should evaluate what features are worthwhile to them and buy what they feel gives them the best value.

Rollo, just 1 word of advice, change the record.

If you came on here and gave us news about what's going on at NVIDIA and how this will interest/benefit us then I'm sure all of us, well at least I, would listen, and we could then base a discussion around that.

Or, as an alternative, stop trying to counter all of ATI's amazing work atm, they've truly outdone NVIDIA this year, and it's really starting to annoy us here at Hexus that you can't accept that.

I'm not trying to "counter ATi's work". I'm discussing video cards.

I'm allowed to not agree with your position on the video cards, we may value different aspects of gaming and have differing amounts of disposable income. It's a radical concept.

Re: NVIDIA responds to ATi's PhysX claims

But Rollo your being completely ignorant and saying its good business practice for Nvidia to lock physx away from people who have bought both an AMD and NVIDIA card..... Now all that does is mean the people who buy a spare low end nvidia card to process extra physx cant, so they dump Nvidia's cards and just stick with the underpriced AMD equivilants from now on.... HOW IS THIS GOOD BUSINESS SENSE??

Can you atleast listen for once in your life man.. its getting tiresome.

And no, I don't care if you buy an ATi card, I buy them myself.

So you just implied that 3d Vision isnt worthwhile to you since you buy Ati cards (yet given nvidia for free!). Lol worthy.

No, you're trying to shove technology that some of us don't care about down our throats in a manner that tries (and fails due to your poor attitude) to paint Nvidia in a better light than ATI. I have nothing against Nvidia as I've said before and will buy the best card that suits my needs at the time.

Yes, we all have different needs and priorities when it comes to PC gaming so please stop trying to pimp things certain users don't care about, like 3D and PhysX. Some of us do not care about these features.

Disposable income? Really, you want to wave that ePeen stick? You have no idea what the disposable income of most of the posters here is, so please don't even go there. You think I buy ATI because I can't afford Nvidia?

Here's another radical concept Rollo, sometimes you're just wrong.

Re: NVIDIA responds to ATi's PhysX claims

I imagine it's somewhat embarassing for you. What are you going to tell me?

"Well you see Rollo, I don't have much of a life going on, so I decided to become a forum bully. Everyone who has more money than I do to spend on parts is "stupid" and everyone who doesn't support the companies I support is "stupid" or worse yet "a shill" if they get free parts from the evil companies I don't like. I'm part of a noble bunch making sure the close to bankrupt AMD guys get a fair shake, and no one disparages their products or speaks well of their competitors."

Sound about right? I've had the displeasure of being accosted by little bullies like you from all over the world, angry I get some free parts, angry I have info you don't, angry I prefer NVIDIA and don't help the underdog.

    Pretty sad.
    tbh..
