I was wondering which card to get the Fx 5700 (£105) or the Fx 5900XT (£153)? I know that the Fx 5900XT is based on the same core as the proper 5900 but I was wondering if the extra Fifty is worth it?

I know this doesn't answer your question, but you might want to wait a month or two for the next generation of graphics cards to come out. This way, you can either get a better card for the same money, or buy current generation cards at a lower price.
However, I would personally go for a 9800 Pro (about £140 if I remember correctly). I would say that it is a fantastic price for a card only a bit off the top (9800XT) in most benchmarks.
Well it gives me a better idea of my choices.
What kind of next gen cards would be within my price range when they come out later this year?
totally agree with this dudeQuote:

definately get the 9800 pro, komplett do it for 140 as do some other retailers.
Cheers for the help lads!
Am on way to choosing my 9800 Pro.
Wait if you can. But if you cant, go for the 9800pro over a 5900XT :)
