Do all the 5870 support voltage tweaking from riva tuner/afterburner or is it just ones like the asus and msi ones??
I want to buy one but I an going to water cool it so I want to be able to clock it up with more voltage as WC makes a good 20 degrees C difference (kit dependant) than air cooling :rockon2:
You won't be able to AFAIK unless you flash the card with the Asus/MSI BIOS. I think it's pretty simple to flash though from what I've heard.
From what I've read on the web, the vast majority of users have been able to use the MSI Afterburner utility on any brand of the 5xxx series without needing to modify anything. I've been using it with my XFX branded 5970 since day one without any mod's. I read a report on the ChilledPC forums that a file based config hack is needed but I doubt it's required.Quote:

out of interest bug, what is your WC setup like and what components are you using?(pump etc).
Im eventually looking at having 2 WC loops in my system (1 cpu/1 gpu) but will have to wait till i get a good amount of funding xD.

Using the XSPC dual DDC bay for the pumps+res. The CPU block is okay (restrictive though) but mainly bought it since there was a shortage of Fuzion v1's at the time. Currently using some old tubing (8/11mm) from the previous case (odd layout) since fatter stuff was harder to route. Intend to upgrade the tubing in the current (bigger) case now that I'm happy with the layout once I get a new motherboard and CPU (seeing how the new hex-cores look). Tempted to try dual D5's at some stage just to see if it improves the temperatures much but that's a new layout again! Some nice dual D5 tops now. Pity they weren't around when I was last upgrading :).
