    Monitor dilemma

I've finally saved up enough pennies to replace my aging 17" TFT and I'm looking for a quality replacement.

    My requirements:

    - Must be able to do full HD
    - Prefer it to have an HDMI port
    - Good for gaming
    - Good black depths
    - At least 22" ,but no bigger than 24"

Colour reproduction and viewing angle is not as important, but I don't want it to be terrible.

    Budget: Up to £450

At present, my options appear to be:

    Dell Ultrasharp U2410: http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/24-De...itor-IPS-panel

    @ £429

    OR:

    HP LP2475W: http://www.ebuyer.com/product/148972

    @ £445

    OR:

    NEC EA231WMi: http://www.cclonline.com/product-inf...684&tid=frooct

@ £300 (This has no HDMI though, which is not ideal)

This is TFT central's comparison table, which frankly isn't all the conclusive to me:

OR I wait a bit and get:

    Acer GD245HQ: http://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/p...UG5HE.004.html

£300 (not currently in stock anywhere that I can see)

Which is obviously a compromise in picture quality, but is 3D ready (if I ever need it) and better than the above two for gaming.

    SO...

Which one would you go for? I'm at a loss.

PS - I have a 5870 on order so please disregard the 8800GTS in my system specs as a factor.

Perhaps a better question I could pose you good Hexus people is:

Do any of you own of the above monitors and are they any good for gaming, particularly FPS games?

    Much obliged.

Sorry - but I think Cat5th has a HP. Might be worth a PM
    Society's to blame,
    Or possibly Atari.

Last attempt to bump my thread before I give up....
