I spotted a FX 5900 XT brand new (Xpert Vision) for £179 retail... any good?! Prob is my current manufacturer is Xpert Vision and i started out with an underclocked FX 5600 XT, and have just managed to overclock it to default XT speeds! I dont want an UNDERCLOCKED 5900 XT just to overclock it to get it to how it originally should be!

i had a fx5600 ultra and tbh it wasnt much better than my o/c gf4ti4200 the step from that fx5600 to a 9700np was huge then from the 9700np to a 9800pro was big but not that big since the 5600 ive left nvidia well alone and id only had owned nvidia cards till then

I've tried constant persuasion on MSN, but it never works. I tried persuading him not to buy the 5600XT for £200, but he wouldn't listen!

You might want to wait, since its only a couple of weeks until the new cards come out (isn't it?) - current cards at lower prices, or newer, faster cards.

Considering a Radeon 9800 Pro is about £140, I'd say about £120, and lower for a second one.

Edit: Howard beat me to it! Teach me not to refresh the page...

About £120 max for a preowned 9700 pro being generous there as well. And no offense but its stupid to pay £170 for one.
