Not sure as i installed 197.41 straight away, you get direct x,an overclock util called Vtune and badaboom on the disk.

Haha yeah i know what you mean they do get pretty toasty but not as bad as i imagined, im hitting 92 under full load with furmark but in games like Battlefield BC2 never went above 87 which isnt to bad, and there not as loud as i imagined either comparable to my old gtx 280.
Yep, say what you want about the pricing/heat etc. etc. but you have a very fast card there - so time to install every game you can get your hands on and crank it up. I would suggest Crysis, so that you can actually play the game how is was meant to be (no pun intended. Oh ok, just a little).
Wish I had the money though - then i could xfire my 5850 and spend the change on my car
Ive tried the crysis demo and it seems to run very well im also able to play metro 2033 now with everything on and getting good fps.
Very happy with this card its a big jump from my 280.
can you post any benchmarks for us? i am too interested in a gtx 480 and i mainly play World in Conflict, BattleForge and Bad Company 2
