Watercooling dual twin card GTX 295's in concurrent slots.
Hi,
I've got an ASUS X58 RAMPAGE EXTREME II and 2 dual card GTX 295's. One of which isn't working, but when I do fix it I'd like to use it on the board.
I'm unable to use the bottom PCI-E connector as the card inteferes with the front panel connections.
Therefore I'd like to use the second blue PCI-E connector.
My first card is watercooled, and my second one currently is lying around in bits. I had fitted a water block to it, but this is shorting or something.
In order to water cool both gfx card in need to get the flow from gfx card 1 to 2 but there is no discernable gap between the cards. It's only Several mm. I've seen that Koolance produce several connectors, but i'm unsure which one exactly I need.
Has any one else had any experience with this board, or this setup, or can offer any advice?
Many thanks

I had a response which I've found useful on the Bit-tech forum, which I'm including so that anyone else can see:

I've just found this:

which I think would do the job. Anyone had any experience of these components?

I've just watercooled my computer and i'm using the top and middle PCI-E slots on my Rampage II Extreme. Providing you have SLI/Crossfire supporting waterblocks, all you need to buy is a 1 slot SLI/Crossfire connector to go between the two cards. In my case, I bought a phobya 1 slot connector and it was a case of screwing in the two heads to the waterblocks and then locking them together by pushing the cylindrical part into both nozzles. You can buy them from Chilled PC and Watercooling Uk to name a few places. Theres a thread called "photos of your computer" which should show you what it looks like.
Re: Watercooling dual twin card GTX 295's in concurrent slots.
if you want both cards running at 16x pci-e you need to use the 1st 2 slots anyway
the alternative part is this https://www.koolance.com/water-cooli...product_id=872

It's like opening a flood gate this!
Just found one that's a bit cheaper..

Thansk for the advice!
Now all I need to do is find out how to close off this thread!

Careful with phobya parts! 2 of my compression fittings and a barb "cracked" :|
