Advice (Graphics Card)

Hi, well at my age 53, I don't keep upto date with things like graphics cards, only time I have trouble is when they don't work or I want a new one
Well it's the latter option, thinking about a new one for my sons pc, this one actually. I've no real idea what would be best, only recently picked up this pc, it lacks a bit in the graphics I guess, my lads what to be able to play old game, Battlefield 2 again, problable more aswell. Don't really have more than £50 to chuck at this, I know it's not a lot when it comes to graphics cards, but what could / would be the best I could hope for with that budget ?

Intel Pentium 4 CPU, 3.00GHz
RAM 2.0gb
Motherboard incase you need to know, ECS G31T-M
Graphics, Radeon X300, from the X300/X550/X1050 Series

anything else I could find out with SIW, if you need more info.

I know to get the best you need more dosh lol, but something that does the job ok will do if you know what I mean .

I would not know what to buy, better to ask than be sorry.

Whats your PSU like? total power and 12V current? Whats a Pentium 5?

I assume you mean Pentium 4?? What model is it??

I would install CPU-Z as it will tell you what CPU you have!

What make is your PSU and what is its rated power??

If you PSU is up to the job I would get the following card:

However a Pentium 4 will probably bottleneck even an HD3850 or HD4670.
