Ok, what should i look at doing with my GPU?

Well my 4850 has been doing a solid job for gaming at max/high settings for every game but it would seem that Metro 2033 has almost made it relive the life of crysis with crap FPS <30 at most times. I have to run it on low at 1680x1050 to play at a reasonable level which to me aint great.

So basically im wondering if its wise to upgrade to a new gpu? No funding at the minute but ill have about £200 to spend at the end of june, I assume the 5850 would be the best card for me to aim for right? But my main question is... should i wait? Cause last time i bought a GPU it was the 8800GTS 512mb rev and that was £180! and quickly dropped in price and surpassed (although my free 9800GTX did compensate the depreciation haha). Is there any news on potential release dates for new AMD cards? Do you think i should just suck up playing metro 2033 on low and get the new released card when they come out?

Oh and any other way to increase my FPS? Overclocked my gpu but only a fex extra FPS...

This article regarding Metro2033 hardware requirements will be useful to read:

    http://www.legionhardware.com/articl...e_guide,1.html

Nvidia is releasing some midrange parts in the next few months so hopefully the HD5850 will drop in price to the £200 mark it originally started at!

The HD5830 is starting to drop in price to around £160 so I would keep a watch out for one of these in case you can get for under £150.

I would try overclocking your HD4850 first TBH.

I wouldn't rerecomend HD5830 they got separate drivers on Ati website and seem slightly incompatible. I am not even sure whether 10.4 Calalysts are available for them.
