    5850 Recommendation

Hi guys, I've recently bought a Asus 5850 DirectCU which has a noisy fan and I'm sorting out an RMA from Scan, but I'm wondering if I should go for a different card as I wasn't impressed with the temperatures (whether this is due to the fan I'm not sure).

Is the XFX listed here a reference card or not? Since I'm looking for being able to do a bios flash and up the voltage on it.

I've also heard that reference cards run cooler than the DirectCU, any truth in that?

    Thanks in advance.

Looks to be reference to me - not sure though. I would say save the bios flash hassle and get yourself an asus card with the voltage tweak application?

    Re: 5850 Recommendation

Yeah, I guess. But since I'm getting an RMA from Scan for my non-reference ASUS, I kinda need to look at what they have in stock and the reference ASUS' aren't in stock.
