best 24" monitor with HDMI under £300
Looking to get myself a new monitor cos my old Samsung 19 inch LCD is making me feel shy in the e-showers and also cos it's bleeding at the top and bottom pretty bad, not to mention the vertical strips that can be made out when the screen is dark.
So I'm wanting to know what's the best monitor for under £300, I'm going to be using it for gaming, movies and my xbox360, so built in speakers (or audio out) and HDMI are wanted.
Re: best 24" monitor with HDMI under £300
I've been eyeing up the Dells but they keep disappearing from their website, and I'd quite like one with a VESA mount which their 1080p 'multimedia' one with HDMI/DVI/VGA didn't seem to have. I'd be interested in any recommendations there are, it's seems pretty hard to track down monitors that have all 3 inputs (mostly due to poor/incorrect information on webshops).
Re: best 24" monitor with HDMI under £300
My mistake, the link on the Accessories, Electronics, etc page for Widescreens 23"(58 cm) & up only has one on it, but if you go the long way round you can find them all. The 23" 2048 x 1152 one is a bit more tempting than any of the 24" ones, although I've no idea about the panel/etc.
The U2410 is meant to be good and cheap, unfortunately $499 currently equals £469 :O_o1:
Re: best 24" monitor with HDMI under £300
I just recommended another user in another thread to check out the new BenQ V2420. However in your case, check out the V2420H which comes with a HDMI port.
Here is the V2420 on ebuyer (£174.16inc. vat):

And here is the V2420H on Oyyy:

The V2420H on Oyyy is £180.40 (£211.97 Inc VAT), so really depends on how much you want the HDMI as £174.16 versus £211.97 is a big gap. In the long run of course I would say the HDMI is worth paying the extra money for, it's always nice having an extra port :)
