Problem with secondary HDTV resolution on 5850

Hi guys have just done a reinstall of Windows 7 64bit and updated my 5850 with newest drivers.

However on my secondary screen which is a sony 40inch 1080p hdtv there are ane and a half inch black bars on the right and left side of the screen.

I went to Scaling options but even when going to as far left as I can these bars still remain.

I never had any problem with my nvidia 8800

Does anyone know how to fix this?

Re: Problem with secondary HDTV resolution on 5850

Whats the model of the sony TV? You should have a picture mode called 'Full Pixel', which should give you 1:1 mapping, so as long as your GPU is outputting 1920x1080 then you wont need scaling at all -which even if you get rid of the borders, still looks like arse IMO.

If in doubt, post the model number and I can hunt down the manual and bit I am thinking of.

I had the same problem. I just went into catalyst and removed the underscan. And also changed the overscan in my TV settings.
