Looking for 1920x1200, LED-backlit, LCD monitor
I have been looking, on and off, for months and the only one I have found was the Apple one.
The screen size is not as important to me as the resolution. There are several misleading google results, mostly originating from Nextag and other shopping sites that incorrectly identify some LED-backlit monitors as having the desired resolution (1920x1200) when they are actually only 1080p (1920x1080). Such a monitor would jip me out of 120 rows of pixels.
Does anyone know of any more monitors besides the Apple one? Thanks

I have one of these

Very good value for money at around £120, you can get the 24 inch version for around £150 I think at Aria.

These two are S-PVA units by Samsung:
XL24 - http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/mon...0_8.html#sect0 (1920x1200)
XL30 - http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/mon..._11.html#sect0 (2560x1600)
Both are pretty pricy at £1,214 (http://www.kikatek.com/product_info....source=froogle) for the XL24 and £3,357 for the XL30 (http://www.versor.co.uk/products.asp?product=x85x22982), whereas the Mac is £649.
As far as I can see the main advantage over the Apple is in response time; 6ms vs. 14ms. However this is only really an issue if you work with motion footage or game.

I thought I had found an acer 1920x1200 back lit LED monitor but it turned out to be wrong information on the acer website. Sorry... can't find one anywhere either.

Yeah I was in this boat a while, basically I gave up and just got a 1920x1080 screen, couldnt find one at anything resembling a reasonable price, you dont feel that youve lost out without those extra few pixels tbh. I never notice it going from one to the other.

Hey there... did u have any luck finding the LED at 1920x1200? I found one in asia in that resolution at 24" !!! Their 27" is a whopping 2560x1440... basically the same thing as the Apple displays, but got PC's... looked awesome... USA is so slow to get these cool electronics, like TV's and phones as well.

Re: Looking for 1920x1200, LED-backlit, LCD monitor
Personally i have found the new apple displays have quite poor image quality. They also have glossy screens which is completely BLERRGHHHH.
Those samsungs look lovely, shame about the price tag!
Re: Looking for 1920x1200, LED-backlit, LCD monitor
I can highly recommend the HP2405WG, it's not LED, but it's bloody good for it's price.
Re: Looking for 1920x1200, LED-backlit, LCD monitor
Ya those Dell and HP are good, but almost $600 for a 6ms LCD, dunno..... any LED's at 1200 for under $600? And do they sell that HP in the USA anywhere?
