    New rig advice

    I have been looking at a new rig now for the last 3 months looking at parts reviews and on the 26Th of next month my order will go in.

    Here is what i priced up so far so if you have any changes which i am sure you guys will have some things to say.

    120 mm silverstone x7

    1000w corsair cmpsu-1000hxuk

    80gb intel SSD m25-m gen 2 x2 raid 0

    800d case

    Liteon ihos104

    H50-1 cooler

    2gb xfx HD 5970

    intel i7 930

    gigabyte GA-x58a-ud3r

    6gb corsair xms3 ddr 2000mhz

    Cuple of questions i have is there is a PCI ocz ssd cheaper then the 2 intell ssds

    is it worth getting the 930 over the 920

    Regarding the SSD, there is this http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/120GB...-Write-490MB-s for £30 or so less than the two 80GBs, although it is 120GB vs. 160GB. It has a moderate advantage in read speed and a significant advantage in write speed. IOPS also see a moderate increase. I would say get it if you don't need the extra capacity.

    With the 920 vs. 930 you can save a few £ by going for the 920 but the 930 should be a little easier to OC. Unless you really want to save the pennies, go for the 930, or if you are only aiming for an OC in the low to mid 3GHz range go for the 920.
