Looking for new graphics card
I'm currently in the process of upgrading my PC, atm I'm gonna be getting a new motherboard, CPU, RAM, hard drive and graphics card.
What I've decided so far;
Asus P7P55D-E LX LGA1156
Intel Core i5 750 Quad Core 2.66GHz (may get an i7)
For RAM I haven't finallised my decision but want atleast 4GB DDR3
Currently have 500GB SATA II hard drive and looking to get another 500GB-1TB SATA III
But for my graphics card I'm a bit confused, ATI or nVidia? So I was asking in here to see what people would suggest as I don't want to spend much more than £150-160, but I have been looking at ATI radeon HD5750 or HD5830.
Thanks in advance for any help and if u got suggestions for RAM and hard drive i appreciate the help.

ATI. I know everyone has their favourite, but I say the HD5xxx series are excellent simply because their idle power consumption is so low - which is where most PCs spend a significant amount of time. And the performance is probably, pound for pound, easily equal if not better than eqivalent nvidia cards.
The 5830 might be more than £160 unfortunately, but the 5750 should be had for around £100.
Go for a 5770 for around £130-£140, perhaps?
Re: Looking for new graphics card
Do note that nVidia are releasing their GTX 460 tomorrow which may be in your budget. That'll also have the effect of rejigging the prices of other graphics cards in that performance bracket.
Re: Looking for new graphics card
I would also have a look at the GTX460 768MB as it should be around the £150 to £160 price range.
Re: Looking for new graphics card
thanks for advice will look around the models u suggested
Re: Looking for new graphics card
GTX 460 looks class to be honest. Well worth £150 over a 5830.
Re: Looking for new graphics card
I know it blows the budget a bit more - but may as well spend the extra £20 to get the 1gb version surely
