I know this is really out of your budget range of £200, but I thought I'd give it a shot. I mean it's 27 inches man... for gaming and movies it's godly...

It costs £270 including vat, but it's a great package. My friend got one of these and can't stop raving about it. I played MW 2 with him and 2 other friends and the 4 way split screen didn't seem as constrained. Blu ray Movies play really well. And the screen is very well lit because it carries 400cd/m of brightness. It also comes with dual HDMI ports, and also DVI and D-sub. 4 2.5w speakers, which isn't much but its better than none. And the monitor has tons of other extra pluggins. OH and it still has 5ms response time.

Now, if your budget does not permit exceeding the £200 mark, you can consider the G2412HD which is a great monitor. I own it myself and it works great as it has all the connective ports you need and is 1080p looks great and however not 400cd/m it has 300 which is enough. But of course the more ooomph the better right?

Must admit I was impressed with the BenQ G2222HDL which I got for a system I was building for a friend recently. The 24" version would be well withing your budget. There's a load of the new LED backlit panels coming out at pretty good prices atm, suggest you look at a few reviews before you part with your cash.

    I second that...

The V2420H that someone else mentioned is also a good LED choice...

The new BenQ VA LED monitors that will be released soon are good choices too, but I'm not sure what price range those monitors will be in.... if you want to wait for them they might be great
