Nvidia 310M Notebook Graphics any good?
I've recently been shopping for notebooks, and I don't know much about graphics cards, but just know that the better output the better?
The Nvidia 310M comes onboard of the ASUS U45jc notebook that I want:
It says that it offers 1gig of memory for the graphics card but I read online that its only 512mb. What's the 1 gig mean? Virtual extra 512? DDR3 ram
It comes with i5 Intel core @ 2.4ghz (4 cpus)
2 gig DDR3 ram + 2 gig DDR3 (i will add)
So is the Nvidia 310M graphics good?
Thanks :)
Re: Nvidia 310M Notebook Graphics any good?
Its a rebadged 210m which in turn is a rebadged 9400m which in turn is a rebadged 8400M GS / GT.
Its basically the lowest spec one Nvidia do, I have the 9400m and its fine for indie games, / HL2 and other older games.
Memory wise it will use system memory, so the 1gb in a way is right as you could set it to use 1gb but on a card like that there is little point.
Re: Nvidia 310M Notebook Graphics any good?
Hmmmmm... it's good enough I guess. I guess I'll buy it. I have a friend who work for ASUS so I can get a good deal on it :)
I won't be gaming too much. I do love cs source!!! As long as I can do my work (which only involves microsoft office programs and web browsers) fine then I'm all happy
Thanks for the response btw :)
Re: Nvidia 310M Notebook Graphics any good?
The Nvidia 310M is not too bad is it ?
I have a 5470 ATI in my laptop and that runs games pretty well
I thought the 310M was in the same league as the 5470 ATI?
