    Cheapish 22" monitor

I need a new monitor and the requirements are 22", DVI and fairly cheap!

I'm quite keen on this BenQ, it's just what I'm looking for and the only cheaper ones I've seen I don't really like the look of (i.e. there's a cheaper Digimate on Ebuyer I think it is).

    Anyway, here's the link: http://www.ebuyer.com/product/147718

I just thought it best to run it by the Hexus community to make sure there's nothing glaringly wrong with this monitor

    Re: Cheapish 22" monitor

Thread resurrection! I am also looking for new monitor after my CRT died last night.

From what I can see there is no point not getting an 1920x1080 resolution monitor now. For DVI can you not use an adapter from VGA?

    There is a BenQ G2220HD

The LG W2230S's seem to be rubbish. The £124 25" monster from hanns looks enticing but there is a lack of reviews.

I would be interested to know if anyone has any pointers.

And how much of an advantage is 2ms over 5ms refresh rates?

    Re: Cheapish 22" monitor

In the end I opted for a slightly cheaper Acer V223W monitor which I'm very pleased with

I've just put my old monitor up for sale in Classifieds if you're at all interested in looking!

    Re: Cheapish 22" monitor

I'm looking at this one, very similar to the BenQ Englander was querying, but with a higher resolution.

Does anyone had any experience or knowledge regarding this product?

I have the 24" version of this monitor, it works great. Very low back light bleeding and great for gaming, HD viewing or even browsing/work. I'd recommend you getting the 24 inch. 24 inch is always better

By the way, check out their newest release, it should hit the markets soon, I hope, I want to buy me one

It has true 8 bit color, 3000:1 contrast ratio, and 8ms response time. The stand looks quite large to hopefully balance the screen a little better. The EW2420 has 2 hdmi ports + DVI + vga... an abundant supply of ports
    Intel Core 2 Duo 2.0GHz, 2 GB DDR2, 500GB SATA-II 7200RPM, nVidia GeForce 9800GT 512mb, BenQ E2200 HD, BenQ G2412HD, Logitech S510 Wireless set, Creative GigaWorks T3 Speakers.

If your looking to buy now I don't think you can go wrong with that BenQ 22", especially as they are now coming down to the £110 mark. Very impressed with the one I recently installed for a friend.
