There are tiny blue dots flashing in certain places depending on what's on the screen, i updated my drivers for my graphics card and all, but to no avail.
Any ideas as to how I can correct this??
Thnx

Would normally indicate a GPU fault, do you have another graphics card you can swap the one in the system for to rule it out.
Also would help if you filled in ya profile for your system.
Hmm I don't think so,
and I've got a
Quadcore Intell Q6600 Proccesor
HD Radeon 4870 1gb
4 Gb RAM
and this problem only started recently, to be exact after i downloaded the latest driver for the graphics card did i begin to notice it
I've encountered the same problem before. It can be caused by 2 things - a faulty cable or attempting to join more than one poor quality cable together. I was somewhat surprised based on the widespread opinion that a digital cable either works or it doesn't.
Also would be worth trying the other output on your GPU - sometimes the output goes a little weird.
Well it happens occasionally, like right now there aren't any dots
so might it still be caused be the cable? Like it it gets overused or something??
Have you tried making sure the cable is tightened? If you wiggle a DVI connection so some pins aren't fully connected the screen will fill with flashing pixels. Depending on what pins aren't connected this can be colour dependent. For example, if I have a DVI connection ever so slightly ajar there will be flashing purple pixels visible only on certain shades of grey.
yea I did
I saw this happenning on a few occasions (or something similar on an HD4770) and changing the resolution and changing it back again resolved the problem...![]()
lol wow i wiggled it for one second and it worked
Thnx
srry i was stubborn enough not to believe you and rest assured that my cable was tightened already, but its gone now
