Hey guys,
I'm currently running a HD4850 512MB. Looking to upgrade, but I don't have an enormous amount of money to chuck around. I've seen some of the lower end HD5xxx series cards available at a fairly cheap price, but would it be a mistake to assume that, just because it's a bigger number, it's actually more powerful?
The HD5770 1GB is around the speed of an HD4870 whereas the HD5750 is around the speed of an HD4850.
Okay, I see. So if I was looking to upgrade, a good rule of thumb would be too add 1000 to my current GPU number :P makes sense, I suppose!
And even then it's probably not much of a performance increase, due to the rest of the stuff in your system remaining the same.Quote:
