new GPU for gaming at 1920x1080

As one of the threads below indicates I am in the market for a new monitor and it will be a 1920x1080 one. Quite simply my 512mb HD 4850 just won't be up to the job I don't think (also I have another computer that needs a entry level GPU so might as well stick the 4850 in that).

My budget is between £100 and £150 (ideally much closer to the £100 mark). I want something that can play most games just smoothly at 1920x1080, only exception is MW2 which I want maybe around 60-75 fps because I like a nice high frame rate in shooters (i am willing to sacrifice AA and high texture modes for that). Other requirement is the card must support crossfire or SLi as I want that in the future.

GTX 460 768mb best bet!? Also do AMD motherboards offer much in the way of SLi support?

I would wait until the HD6850 1GB drops down to under £135 again. There are very few SLI motherboards for AMD CPUs currently available. However, the Crossfire scaling of the HD6850 1GB looks quite impressive for an AMD card and also the relatively low power consumption of the HD6850 1GB(the GTX460 768MB consumes more power) means it would tax your PSU less too.
