    worth it ?

    is it worth me adding a second 5870 to my rig ? , i can get a new one for less than £180 now in the uk . is it worth it or just get a 6870 and crossfire at a later date , my mobo with only do 8x8 in crossfire if that makes any differance

    I have a 5870 and have played more Mount&Blade and Plants vs Zombies than anything else

    Sounds like you should sell that 5870 and buy a netbook tbh .

    i use this system mainly for gaming , games like avp3-crysis-fc2-metro2033-sc2 well you get the drift of it lol

    Already got a netbook, can't say I use it much though. It's nice having the power for the odd blast on something graphically intensive.

    As for the thread itself, I can't see how any of those games are going to benefit from a second 5870, Russ.

    perhaps a gtx480/gtx570 or something along those lines , getting fedup of the fps drop after each driver update tbh with ati/amd based gfx cards

    I'd hold out a while until you really need to upgrade, then buy a new single card and flog the 5870. Would make far more sense if you're hacked off with AMD.
