Gtx 560

When can we expect to see this? Could be exactly what I want if it slots in @ around £200.

I can see it being cheaper than £200. Especially with the 6950 being around £220.

Yeah, I want one, so long as it's around soon after new year I'll get one, much longer and I'll have enough for a GTX570 so I'll get that. What I'd like from the GTX560: Similar power draw but maybe 20% faster? If it's around £200 it should be about as fast as a GTX470? Seeing as the 570 is cheaper than a 480 but as fast?

I think you would do better with a 460....

Well it depends on the numbers, would like something with slightly more power tbh as I'm @ 1080p.

i game at 1080 on a 460....which btw is playing crysis with everything ramped up...minus the AA yes im pretty sure its powerfull enough, anything more is pretty much overkill IMO but then thats just me :)

Just to add i have a Evga OC card...which i guess plays abit on the power XD

If the BT article was anything to go by applying the same enhancements and clock speed increases to the 460 as the 480 > 580 you could expect up to a 40% increase in performance going to a full fat GF104(GF114F), in the same if not similar TDP.

How could you do that though? The 580 applied enhancements that were missing in the 480 but already present in the 460. The only thing left for the 560 is enabling a few more shaders and bumping speeds.

If I remember correctly from the Hexus article about the 5xx series around feb/march

won't be waiting that long, probably I'll get a GTX460/470/570 and/or an ssd.

Starting to see a few "leaked reports" that the GTX560 will be release on Jan 20th, with performance similar to the HD6950. Were the date has come from I don't know, and the performance spec seems to be based on AMDs creating a "class of its own" for the 6950.
