Yeah, before this it was the 465 to 470.
Before that though it has been an awful long time.
This is a very neat idea, especially as there is the back-up second firmware so its still a useable regular 6950 if you dont manage to unlock it.
Just bought a xfx 6850 to try this out with.
I didnt think the 6850 could be unlocked. All i could find is that the 6950 could be, but the 6850 couldn't. If you've found info to say otherwise i'd love a link so i could check it out.
My bad typing there. I have a 6950 to unlock not a 6850 .

The card is a little above mainstream. Is it worth the splash?
Has anyone here had success with unlocking one? Did it make a big difference?
