I'm sure I read that the MSI uses 2.2ns, but i'm not 100% tho
OCuk stock the MSI 5600 ultra, but not much detail given about mem speeds

sweet, keep us posted.
Do note how much you're paying as the Rad9600PRO easily beats the FX5600ultra most of the time and the 5600ultra rev2 flipchip still isn't notably faster than the 9600PRO. 9600PRO are around £130 and they o/c a good 20% practically all the time. For £150 you may find a good deal on a Rad9700nonPRO which is miles ahead of anything the above cards could ever do (esp o/c past 9700PRO/9800 speeds), try here...

ill vouch for the this guy i bought a grandmars 9700 300/300 board and its a great card its currently running 342/324 i was using a pixelview fx5600 non ultra 128mb(325/580 was best it would o/c) and that was pure sh*te compaired to this card ut 2k3 plays amazing on it its recognised as a pro as well i would not recomend a fx 5600 at all the gf4 ti 4200 i swapped for the fx5600 was better than it as well (it clocked to 300/600)Originally posted by Austin

After all the talk about the 9800pro's I think I might have to get one when I can afford it (hopefully not too long), my softmodded 9500 just isn't fast enough
Actually that's a point, it's running at 297 core 297 mem at the mo, any ideas on how high it should be able to go?

If it's the std 9500 (ie nonPRO) then the 4 pipes will kill your perf. If you are lucky enough to have the 9700PCB (4 RAM chips in a line) and have successfully modded the 256bitDDR it's good for a 20% perf boost. Again 9700PCB and successfully modded 8 pipes it's good for a huge perf boost (9500 with 128bit & 8 pipes is 9500PRO, 9500 with 256bit & 8 pipes is 9700nonPRO).
Anyway no o/c is guaranteed, there are only averages and inherently some people will come in lower while others higher. ALL 9500/9500PRO & 9700nonPRO should get from 275/270 to around 350/310. That makes the 9500 close to 9500PRO perf (ie 9600PRO perf), 9500PRO equal to 9700nonPRO and the 9700nonPRO faster than the 9700PRO/9800nonPRO.
As said nothing is guaranteed so take it SLOW. Use small steps up and at each setting test thoroughly for stability (no freezing, reseting, quitting to desktop, visual glitches etc). I rec finding the RAM limit first and then try the core. So long as you back off from the absolute limits the effects on the card are virtually zero and long term stability should be perfect. So if you get 345/297 I'd back it off to around 335/285.
Yeah, it's one of the whizzy 9500's on the 9700pcb
It's been rock solid at 297/297 for an absolute age now (couple of months at least) Maybe time to start moving the sliders up again

Congrats (lucky sod ). It makes more sense to find the limits once you decide to o/c than simply to guess a safe o/c. If 298mhz in RAM or core is the limit (or even 300mhz) you could have done some minorly serious damage to your card. If it's been solid as a rock that's not likely to be the case though ... but a mild warning to those who blindly set clocks
hehe, works fine up for a while at 308 mem, but then the screen corruption appears. Darn, at least it's better than stock
