Hi,
I hope this doesn't sound stupid and not sure if this is in the right place, but here goes.
The on/off switch on my LCD has broken. I have managed to get it to stay on and I am having to turn it on and off at the wall.
My question is , does it matter turning it on and off at the plug? I know this may sound dumb, but I didn;t know if the on/off switch on a monitor sends power straight to the screen, or if it 'builds up' power so as not to send a surge?
Like I said, may be a stupid question, but I don;t mind leaving it like this unless I am going to knacker it (although may well knacker it more by trying to fix/replace the switch.
Cheers
Darryl
